For Nurses & Healthcare Practitioners

The intention of this healing circle is to cultivate both mindfulness,

which helps us to recognize and embrace our challenges,

and self-compassion, which helps us to embrace ourselves with

love and kindness in the midst of our difficulties.

We explore self-compassion for our self-healing, and we use

Healing Circles as the vehicle for this exploration.

For many nurses and healthcare practitioners, our lives are complicated enough and now we're affected by an unprecedented global health crisis.

We may be feeling isolated, anxious, angry, sad.  Our lives have been turned inside out and upside down. We're uncertain about the future.

We may be dealing with our own chronic health conditions and/or have responsibilities for family and loved ones.

IS THIS YOU?

Healing Circles help us step out of ordinary time into a safe and accepting environment in which each of us can explore our own healing.

Healing Circles are places where we speak with intention

and listen with attention.

The Healing Circles are offered free of any charge or solicitation as our way of giving back to the community during this crisis, and beyond.

Healing circles are where we speak the truth from our heart

and allow for our self-healing to begin.

Healing circles are not a place where we “fix people” because that assumes we are broken and we’re not.  We are in need of healing.

We don’t offer advice or solutions or tell you how you should

or should not act or feel.

We hold space to be with each other without judgment.

We donate our ears and heart without wanting anything back.

We practice empathy and compassion.

We accept someone's truth, no matter what they are.

We allow and accept.

With open hearts, we access our own inner guidance to understand where the greatest healing in body, emotions, mind and spirit can occur.

Meditation by the Sea

“The most basic and powerful way to connect to another person is to listen. Just listen. Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention.”
~~ Rachel Naomi Remen

With open minds, we work together to discover the best ways to remove obstacles to healing, alleviate suffering, and deepen our capacity to heal.
